PROJECT MANAGER

ANJA SCHULLER-MÜLLER (she/her)

I am responsible for the organization and management of IYM Dachau since 2023. Thanks to my degree in Ancient Studies on the one hand and my many years of experience in memorial education on the other, I have a special focus on connections between past and present. My training as a cultural manager helps me to maintain an overview when communicating with organizations, teams, participants, partners and sponsors. I am convinced that there is no better way to dispel prejudices and develop mutual understanding than through personal encounters between people from different cultural, religious, linguistic or political backgrounds. In my work, it is also very important for me to raise awareness, especially among young people, of the ways in which dictatorships develop and that democracies are not self-sustaining, but must be actively shaped in order to survive.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT

KARLA STEEB (she/her)

From 2021 until 2023, I have been able to support the International Youth Meeting Dachau as a team member. Before that, I was able to gain insights into the Dachau culture of remembrance through my voluntary service at the Protestant Church of Reconciliation at the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site. Now, since 2024 I am supporting Anja as the project management assistant. Apart from IYM Dachau, I am studying law and I am active in the Feminist Law Clinic, which provides free legal services.

DIGITAL ASSISTANT

MAI LY LE (she/her)

I joined the team of IYM in 2023. Back then, I was doing a voluntary year at the concentration camp Majdanek memorial site in Lublin, Poland where I was able to gain valuable experience in working in the field of Holocaust education with young people. I am convinced that intercultural and diverse exchange is essential for peaceful living together. Therefore, I am happy to bring my experiences to IYM where every year, we witness meaningful connections between different cultures being formed. I’m excited to take on my new role as Digital Assistant, where among other things, I’ll be managing our social media presence.

Team

The voluntary team of IYM Dachau consists of about fifteen young adults from Germany and abroad. They design the program, lead the workshops, and support the participants throughout the entire IYM.
