I joined the team of the International Youth Meeting Dachau (IYM) in 2023 and immediately fell in love with IYM. Seeing how participants from all over the world evolve from cautiously getting to know each other to becoming close friends makes me realize every year once again how beautiful and important projects like IYM are. Being raised by Vietnamese parents in Germany and afterwards having lived in Poland and now the Netherlands, I know from own experience how valuable intercultural exchange and diverse perspectives are. Therefore, I am very thankful for having the opportunity of being a part of IYM.
In my day-to-day life, I am currently doing my bachelor‘s degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences focusing on AI and Computer Science at Amsterdam University College. Here, I am particularly interested in taking a step back from the purely technical perspective and examining the societal implications of AI and algorithms in general.
As of June 2025, I got the role of Digital Assistant and I am very much looking forward to this new responsibility! Among other things, I will be managing our team’s social media, so if you shoot us a dm on Instagram, chances are you’ll end up texting with me. However, while I am happy to do so, I still prefer talking to people face-to-face. So, let’s say the following: you are welcome to contact the team via Instagram, but then you have to come to IYM, so we get to know each other in real life. Deal? Looking forward to seeing you at IYM then!
